The Transformation
Revent Builds started the transformation by addressing the fundamental issues. The load-bearing wall was removed, instantly opening up the space and flooding it with natural light. To further brighten the kitchen, numerous recessed canned lights were added, allowing for customizable illumination. The team took inspiration from the surrounding natural beauty, choosing hickory hardwood for the flooring and floor-to-ceiling hickory cabinets around the kitchen’s perimeter.
A key feature of the Hickory Love Kitchen was the addition of a second sink in the island, designed to facilitate food preparation while keeping the original sink for dishwashing. Achieving this required trenching the slab and extending the sewer line, showcasing Revent Builds’ commitment to detail and functionality.
Aesthetic refinements played a significant role in the transformation as well. Clean white walls, a white marble backsplash, and white quartz countertops were chosen to create a stunning contrast with the rich, dark tones of the hickory cabinets and flooring.
